The Villa is located merely 30 minutes from Lisbon by car and 10 minutes from the picturesque resort towns of Cascais and Estoril.
The closest village within walking distance is Malveira da Serra where you can find a supermarket, pharmacy and several local restaurants and cafés.
A number of famous golf courses are in the surrounding area, such as Ceasar Park Penha Longa, Oitavos Dunes, Estoril Golf Club and Quinta da Marinha.
Just outside the gates are a number of paths for exploring the surrounding countryside, which are part of the protected national park of Sintra/Cascais. The nearby Guincho beach is renowned for kite and board surfing and offers rentals and surf-schools.
The house has been carefully planned to provide every possible comfort with easy access to pool, gardens and open-air recreational areas. |

My family (two adults, children ages 7 and 3) and our nanny stayed at Villa Guincho / Viking Hall for two weeks. We recommend it highly. The property is immaculate with all modern amenities. Furnishings and art were world class. The booking arrangements were seemless and the owners were very accommodating with our early arrival. The housekeeper Maria opened the home to us, catering to our every daily need and desire, be it setting up bedrooms, finding pool toys for the children, lending sunglasses and back packs, giving us directions for hikes and even offering to restock the bar with a keg of beer! The property location is ideal. It is remote enough to be private, but near enough to Lisbon for easy day trips, and close to Sintra, golf and world class beaches. Recommended for: Adventure Seekers, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

We had a great vacation in this wonderful villa with our big family with 4 children (5,6,15 and 16 years old), something to do for everybody. The teenagers took windsurfing classes at the Guincho beach and we could relax while the small children were playing in the pool and we could cook fine dinners in the well equipped kitchen. A fantastic place and the location couldn´t be better. We will recommend it to all our friends and we would love to come back again. Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful views, a delightful house, space for everyone. Kitchen is well equipped for enthusiastic cooks and Maria the friendly housekeeper was welcoming and very kind. The house is close to several lovely beaches -- our favourite was Adraga, which also had a wonderful local restaurant. Peter, the owner, could not have been kinder or more helpful, and we felt thoroughly spoilt from the second we landed. Highly recommended.
